✦ Vegetable-tanned, equine material made from the fibrous flat connective tissue (or shell) beneath the hide on the rump of the horse.

✦ A unique, dense texture. 

✦ Available in: solid and art colors; smooth and textured. The reverse side is also often used as the exterior of wallets to show the texture and colors used when tanning.
